Board, Just to update you, the doubles league kicked off to a great first week with relatively few problems. All of the matches were played, except for one. (StreetSquash couldn't get their act together this week, but we're going to give them the benefit of the doubt for now) The B2 league dissolved because of scheduling problems with one club, and another clubs unwillingness to play in the B2s. We had some issues with uploading scores, but Bill Buckingham has been amazing and has both uploaded scores as well as been on the phone with club pros and members to walk them through the uploading process. We seem to have had only one major incident (that I am aware of) where a team was clearly not playing in the right level. We are working to correct that. Most of all, what I am personally proud of, is the spirit of this league. Emily and I played at Heights Casino on Tuesday night, and our opponents first of all, emailed us to make sure that we could get there safely (because of the weather), we played our match, then we played a mixed doubles match with them, and then they treated us to drinks upstairs. We played at 7:15 and didn't leave until around 10. There is really an excellent sense of excitement about the league. The guys at Heights went on and on about how much they had been looking forward to it. I've been in touch with both players and pros in Westchester and Greenwich, and everything seems to have come off well there. I think that we have started something great here, it's very social, the players love it, and we're involving clubs outside of the five boroughs. Doesn't get better than that! Thanks to Brett and Marshall for all of their awesome hard work. See you guys around this weekend! Sarah
