Poly Girls Score Big Win v Chapin

Following the Packer win and in their most impressive match of the season, the Girls’ Varsity took down Chapin with a convincing score of 6-1 on their home courts on Tuesday, January 15th

Every Blue Devil displayed determination and focus throughout the match and kept pressure on their opponents. Sophomore, Olivia Doran, had the closest match of the afternoon and while she was not able to capture the victory, she played her best squash of the season. Doran’s backhand volleys and quick movement around the court put her opponent under pressure throughout most of the match, but after many oscillating points, Doran lost 10-12 in the fourth game.

Freshman, Lena Khalifa also had a close match, as her opponent pushed her to four games, but Khalifa’s steady length helped her to control each rally in the fourth game and with a convincing 11-3 finish. The remaining positions were all three game victories, leading to Poly’s first win against Chapin in over 3 years.
