Poly Prep Girls (6), Holy Child (1)

The Poly Prep Girls' Varsity earned their second victory of the season against Holy Child with an impressive score of 6-1. With three of the top seven players missing, the remaining varsity members, along with freshman, Lily Rosenblum, from JV, stepped up their games and displayed determination in every match to take the victory.

In the closest match of the day, senior and captain, Madeline Petrie, played her best squash of the season at the number six position. After narrowly winning the first two games, Petrie’s opponent reversed the momentum and came back to tie the score at 2-2. But Petrie showed impressive focus to come back in the fifth game, using her volleys and effective length to take the victory.

The Girls’ Varisty’s continued improvement continues to be evident and impressive and the girls hope to use today’s momentum in the next three matches against, Packer, Chapin, and Brearly, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week!
