Poly Prep Boys Varsity defeats Saint Ann’s 7-0

In what was scheduled as a highly anticipated home opening match-up between Boys Varsity and Saint Ann’s, Poly’s match on Monday was a let-down as the Boys Varsity thumped a depleted Saint Ann’s roster because of internal disciplinary issues within their team. Saint Ann’s, a Brooklyn Heights based school that currently (as well as in the past) has had many celebrated nationally ranked students that train at the Heights Casino on its roster played with a very weak roster of replacement players.

As a result, the Poly Team made the most of the situation and the Blue Devils conducted themselves with great poise and sportsmanship as they easily dominated the match 7-0.

  1. Yehia Essam def. Sam Premutico 11-4, 4, 6
