Poly Prep JV Girls Fall to Hackley

On January 9th the JV girls traveled up to Hackley for their second game of the season. The girls new it would be a tough match but they fought really hard and in the end the match came down to a matter of points.

Playing in the #7 slot, Manavi Mongia who is in 8th grade this year came out really strong against her opponent and did not lose one point in all three of the games they played against one another. Monavi moved her opponent around the court and just overpowered her Hackley opponent.

Playing in the #6 slot, Sophomore Jane Kleiner went into the match really wanting to win. Jane ran down every ball that she could which would eventually frustrate her opponent. She would eventually win in 4 games.

Playing in the #5 slot, Sophomore Emma Rodney played really well in her second match of the season. She played with confidence on the court and did not give up on any point in the match. She would win in a decisive three games.

Playing in the #4 slot, Sophomore Lucy Foote played the deciding game of the match. Lucy ran down every ball, moved her opponent around the court, and volleyed her shots but in the end the match came down to a couple of points. During her match Lucy did not give up on any point even when she was down and showed her mental toughness to Hackley. She would eventually lose in 5 games.
