William Pantle

  • Current School: Flushing High School (12th Grade (HS)
  • School in Fall 2015: Fordham University (anticiapted graduation May 2019)
  • Current Volunteer Activity: William is a leader during CitySquash community service events, which have included park cleanups, animal shelter work, and soup kitchen volunteering in the 2014-2015 school year.
  • Squash: William plays #1 for the CitySquash High School Team, and plays in junior tournaments frequently. He is a Gold/Silver player.

William joined CitySquash six years ago as a sixth grader, earning the CitySquash Rookie of the Year Award in 2009. William has always been exceptional both in the classroom and on the squash court, which led to him being named the CitySquash Team Captain both his junior and senior years. As captain, William regularly travels to watch other team members play in tournaments without being asked and is an outstanding role model to younger teammates. In the classroom William currently boasts a 92.5% average, which includes three AP classes. He also took three AP courses in his junior year, finishing the year with an 85% overall average. In addition, Williams plays for the Bowling and Tennis teams at Flushing High School.

On the CitySquash High School Team, William has been a consummate leader. In 2013 he earned the CitySquasher of the Year Award, and in 2014 he won the CitySquash MVP Award. He is the top player on our high school ladder and won the BU19 division last June at Urban Individual Nationals. William’s heart and determination on court is matched by none. We are thrilled that he has been accepted with a significant scholarship to attend Fordham University next year and play for the Rams.
