Rothenberg Big Apple Open - 2013-Mar-22

The Big Apple Open was a fixture on the local calendar all throughout the last decade, but NY Squash raised the tournament's profile in 2012 to honor former MSRA president Michael Rothenberg. In addition to a full suite of amateur draws, the event will feature a series of pro exhibition matches and a buffet dinner and open bar party on Saturday night.
All draws will begin play on Friday except the women's 3.5 and women's 5.0 draws, which will start on Saturday
Schedule for Men's Pro Exhibition Match and Party on Saturday
4:20 pm: Two men's 6.0 matches
5:00 pm: Open bar beer, wine and soft drinks. Hot dinner buffet
Free for tournament players. Suggested $20 for guests and EAC club members
5:00 pm: Pro exhibition match #1 Ramit Tandon vs Shahier Razik
5:45 pm: Presentation of Rothenberg Award and scholarship
6:00pm: Pro exhibition match #2 - Zac Alexander vs Gilly Lane

Corey runs a great tournament and this was no exception. Well organized, friendly and professional. The team that worked the tournament were just as nice and friendly as Corey. I am from canada and can say that we are blessed to have a group like this taking pride in running these tournaments for us. Well sone.
